After studying motion graphics in South Korea, he flew to New York in 2008 to explore 3D animation as a means of expressing his vision more freely. He began his career at The Mill NY as a junior 3D artist and dedicated over a decade to the VFX industry, advancing to the roles of senior 3D artist and VFX supervisor.
When Technicolor Studio decided to launch a new office to expand into the Asia-Pacific market, Yong joined the team and relocated to Seoul to help establish the studio and shape its creative vision. Over the course of 18 months, he collaborated with global and local brands and agencies, driving the studio’s creative efforts. After the successful launch of the Seoul studio, he returned to New York in 2024 to bring his expertise and experience back to where his career began, now serving as a creative director.
